The Vehicle Paint Preparation Technician is responsible for preparing vehicles and panels for the painting process by carrying out sanding, masking, filling, priming, and other surface preparation tasks. The role ensures all work is completed to a high-quality standard, supporting efficient workshop operations while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicles and panels for painting.

• Carry out sanding, masking, filling, and priming of vehicle surfaces.

• Ensure all preparation work is completed to a high standard before vehicles are passed on to the Paint Technicians.

• Assist with vehicle dismantling and reassembly where required.

• Assist with polishing when required.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Adhere to company quality, health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in vehicle preparation, bodyshop operations, or automotive repairs would be considered an asset.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Valid driving licence.
